So what do you wanna know about me?

I love getting awesome pics. I'm not comfortable charging too much.

I'm happy when I see my pics on people's walls and social media. I love having made the best portrait that a person ever had. I love great lighting and tinkering with studio lights. I love seeing personality on paper.

I have fun with photo technology from my Nikon D4, Z6ii, Hasselblad and I miss my old Pentax K1000 from college. My Dad taught me with his Pentax. I miss the darkroom but enjoy Adobe Lightroom. Getting the color right is a big deal. Ditto contrast, black point, exposure. I have a lot of fun with my big Canon ProGraf 2100 large format printer!

I enjoy cutting and mounting prints and then seeing them on my wall. Photoshop is my second love. My wife is my first and she's often a better photographer than me. I first thought I was good when I could take great pics of my kids-- turns out they were just cute and I still needed a degree.

My wife and I both received Associates of Applied Science from Northwest College in Wyoming. We went on to assist some very busy, very pro photographers shooting everything from grocery store ads to Nike, Beer ads to rock stars, writers to governors, Good Housekeeping, to Time and People Mags.

I had enough of that pace and those subjects and moved into wedding photography for over a decade. We love that day. I could write a whole page on that!

The North called me home. We filled our home with kids and dogs. In 2024, we launched our first studio in the back of the Wolf Point General Mercantile. I call it The WOPO ProPhoto Dojo. I have a Brown Belt in Tang Soo Do. And a black strap on my Nikon.
